What can I say? This is a beautiful example of the inginuity of the
African people. This bike was designed and built by Ghanaian
welders.
The rider runs alongside before starting to climb. Midway up, he pulls
the chain by hand to keep up his speed. Handlebars are located at
several levels for steering.
Don't stop! |

collections for VBP. This was the leftovers, 400 bikes, after we filled
a container on May 17, 2008. |

Traveling shoe salesman We met in in Liati one morning. He travels around small villages
selling mostly flip-flop sandals, and a few other Chinese imports. He
focuses on villages that don't have shops that carry what he does. |
